Luhama Stackpole (Bunker) Hodgkins

Mrs. Luhama Hodgkins, widow of John Hodgkins died at home of her daughter, Mrs. Edwin Mitchell, on Thursday afternoon, March 24th. Mrs. Hodgkins suffered a severe shock, on Sunday afternoon, from which she never rallied.

The news brings deep grief to many friends. Mrs. Hodgkins was the daughter of Samuel Staples Bunker and Hannah (Stanley) Bunker and she was born at Cranberry Isles, Maine, on 4 July 1852, nearly 77 years ago.

Mrs. Hodgkins leaves a daughter, Mrs. (Maude) Mitchell and a son Orrin Hodgkins, of Addison, Maine; also several grand children and a Neice, Mrs. Geneva Woodworth.

Funeral services were held at the home of Edwin Mitchell on Sunday Morning, Rev. J. Homer Nelson officiating. The bearers were: Mahlon Clement, Frank Carter, Guy Bunker, and Preston Woodworth. Burial was in the family lot, in Lamoine." Obituary of Luhama Stackpole (Bunker) Hodgkins.
