Edward Carson Bunker

Edward Carson Bunker, 63, born on October 7, 1945 in American Fork, Utah, died December 20, 2008 in Mesa, Arizona.

Edward is survived by his wife of forty years, Shauna; sons Mathew (Amy); Marcus; grandchildren Carson, Melanie, Christopher, Libby, Emily, Brooklyn, Molly and Eli: sisters Velyle Taylor (Paul), Maria Lloyd, Elise James (Stephen); and brother Kenyon Bunker (Joy). Preceded in death by his parents, E. Carlyle and Velda Bunker; brother Paul Bunker (Lola); and sister Carla Adams (Gene).

Edward and Shauna started their marriage in Orem, Utah working at the family-owned Bunker Feed Mill. He later earned a degree in accounting and a master's degree in business administration. After working as a CPA and controller for various companies he taught at Mesa Community College, University of Phoenix, and Mesa Public Schools.

Edward's love for travel and adventure led the Bunker family to live in the jungles of Papua New Guinea and to visit many cities around the world. He also lived and made many friends in Utah and Arizona where he served his church and the community.

While he joked he was "tired and grumpy", he made others' lives brighter with his smile and sense of humor.

Memorial services will be held at the LDS chapel at Main Street and Joseph Highway in Monroe, Utah on Saturday, December 27, 2008 at 1:00 pm. The viewing will begin at 11:30 am. Interment to follow in the Glenwood City Cemetery, Glenwood, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LDS Perpetual Education Fund.
